Interesting foot condition
A patient was complaining of numbness in her feet, feelings of pins and needles, burning, tingling. She also found walking was becoming increasingly difficult, she felt as if her feet were not her own. After a thorough examination and medical history take, mechanical causes were ruled out and there was no history of diabetes. After further questioning, the patient began taking a statin for cholesterol around the same time as the symptoms started. Statins can cause the side effects; Peripheral Neuropathy (numbness), Paraesthesia (tingling) and muscle weakness. She was advised to contact her GP to review her medication.
We look forward to treating your feet again soon.
